Two Peas Gardeners' Digest - March Edition

Welcome to the Two Peas Gardeners' Digest - a monthly blog hop with the Garden Girls!

You can begin your hop at the Two Peas blog & then follow along to see all of the posts today.

I'm really excited about the next installment of the Trendy Trios series!  I'll be focussing on a glamourous trend that I think you're going to love!  Make sure to join me at Two Peas on April 1st!  (No joke!)

Are you ready for a little crafty enabling?  ;)

Here are some of my top picks from the Two Peas shop:

I just ordered this stamp set.  I think it rocks & I can't wait to ink it up.  I think it's going to work really well in my Project Life album too because half of my life is spent crafting! (... or at least it feels like it sometimes.)

#2. The Composition & Color Collection by Alison Kreft/Webster's Pages

Oh me, oh my!  Seriously.  This collection just makes my hands sweat & my heart flutter.  It just feels like "me" & that makes me want to snatch it all up & wallpaper my house in it.  If you were a Hambly fan back in the day, you'll be as excited as I am to see Alison's work again. (P.S. There are also transparencies!!!)

#3. Basics Candy Buttons by Basic Grey

I have a strong addiction to enamel dots & these need to come live in my house!  This shade of blue is my favorite right now & yellow is my all-time favorite color... so it's a match made in heaven in my book!  I love that they come in so many different sizes too.

#4.  The Road Trip Collection by Chic Tags

I just ordered some of these adorable new embellishments & I can't wait to have them in my hot little hands.  I love how the note tags lift for added memos & the file die cuts are going to be perfect for my cards, layouts & Project Life!  The colors are beautiful & I love their trendy design.

#5. Daphne's Closet by Lawn Fawn

When you pair ubber cuteness with a retro flair, you get one of my favorite product picks!  I love the awesome patterns & colors in this collection.  Daphne, I'd raid your closet any day!

I am head-over-heels in love with this project by Catherine Davis called Preschool Projects.

She took photographs of her children's art projects, shrunk them down using Photoshop & added them to Project Life cards.  I have a huge tote full of my boys' projects & I think this method of memory keeping is just brilliant!  I love the clothespins holding up each piece of art too.  :)

Thanks for dropping by!  The next stop on the hop is the lovely & talented Shimelle Laine!  Hop on over to see what she's up to today!  :)

Wedded Bliss

I love making wedding cards!  They just scream love, beauty, and happiness!  Here is a card I made recently for Two Peas:
These gorgeous flowers are from a pack of rub-ons by Basic Grey.  I think they are seriously the most beautiful thing I've seen in a long time.  I love big, colorful cabbage roses with a vintage feel. Mmmm!  So... once I applied my rub-ons, this card just zipped together in a hurry!

You can find all the supplies at Two Peas (links below).  Btw, did you know that every order over $50 ships free?!?  (Just sign up for the Two Peas Newsletter & you'll receive a coupon code for free shipping.)  Another awesome thing about Two Peas is their Customer Loyalty program!  You can save up to 15% off each order!

Be You!

Good morning!  :)  Today, I wanted to show you the newest STORE kit of the month called Moments in Bloom &Naturally You.  These store kits are only available in stores (hence the name), but there are some great online stores that carry them as well in case you don't have a LSS nearby.  Just like before, these kits have options.  You can either purchase the entire kit, or you can purchase just the top or bottom kits separately.  I love options.  :)  Find out more about these kits HERE.

Today, I have in my hot little hands the "Naturally You" kit.  I really love how they've combined nature with ubber cuteness.  I really love the sentiments too... and thought this would make a really unique graduation card.

I filled my fancy corner stamps with Kaiser pearls & then did something very brave.  I cut into my Bloomers trim (by Websters Pages).  When you have such gorgeous ribbon like this, it's easy to hoard it... look at it... and never do a thing with it.  So yes, I am a little proud of myself.  :)  The leaves in the kit were just the thing to set my flowers off.  I just wish I would have thought about that before I glued down my flowers.  ;)

Would you like to see more samples using this kit?  Start your hop at the Unity Blog.  From my site, make your way to the fabulous Maren's Blog!!!

Flowering Trees

I've been a BAD blogger lately! ;) I think I've become back-logged from our vacation. And... work has been crazy too. On Monday, I left for the hospital at 5:45 and didn't get home until 7:30.... just in time to make dinner for the fam. The next thing I knew.... I found myself waking up on the couch with two little boys' stinky feet dangling in my face. We must have all been exhausted! :) And... it's a good thing that I woke up because I had to set my alarm for 5 am and start it all over again. But... today I'm home & am SO happy to have a day off! I even had a little bit of crafty time. I love crafty time. It refreshes me and de-stresses me like nothing else. :)

Here's a card I made using this cute tree image from Unity's August Kit of the Month. Can I tell you how much I love this month's kit. Ahhh! Me likey!

I paper-pieced my trees using some Lemonade paper by Basic Grey. The yellow printed paper is by Webster's Pages.... and the bright pink paper is from BG's June Bug collection. I used a frame from Sassafras to tie everything in... and added a couple of buttons from my stash. The sentiment is a rub-on by Crate Paper. (Man... could I have combined any more companies! Wowza!) It still looked like it was missing something, so I stitched a border & called it a day.

Thanks so much for continuing to visit (even when I'm a slacker)! ;) Hope you have a great day too!!!

Hodge-Podge Hip Hop!

Happy Thursday everyone! Today is extra special because my baby turns 4 today! (Happy Birthday, Emery!!!) So... as you're reading this, we're out celebrating!

I want to share an amazingly wonderful stamp set that was released today by Unity! This is the 'customer kit' that everyone had a chance to vote on during the past several weeks -- and has been named 'Hodge-Podge of Happiness'. This set is just packed full of the cutest stamps!!! Good work, customers! :)

If I had to pick a favorite image out of this kit, it would have to be this crafty tree by Tanis. If you look closely, the tree is blooming with buttons and other cutesy goodness. I paired this image with some fun Sassafras paper & the layout is from this week's CPS sketch.

And... here is another one of my favorites! Isn't this pie just delish? ;) The sentiment that comes with it is just as cute. The fun 'pie' paper is from Webster's Pages. The 'hand-towel' paper that I used to stamp the pie on is from Sassafras. And yes. I couldn't resist a bit of denim. :) This pair of tiny jeans from my son has been very handy! The layout for this card is from 2Sketches4You.

Now... make your way to the next stop on the Unity Blog Hop! The beautiful, the wonderful, the fabulous.....

A Pocket Full of....

Hip Hop! Are you ready to see Unity's NEWEST Kit of the Month?!? July's kit is called "A Pocket Full of"... and it's packed FULL of THE cutest images! As always, today's blog hop starts with the Unity Blog. Make sure to check in there to see all of today's specials and goodies! And... since it's a new month, we have new friends with us! Please welcome July's Guest Designers -- Lisa & Shemaine! :)

I love how versatile this kit is! Once again, I used Claudine Hellmuth's Sticky Back Canvas for my main image. I think it gives the 'denim' pocket an authentic texture. The denim tag at the top is the real deal (part of my son's worn out jeans). The paper is by October Afternoon & the felt heart is by Chatterbox.

And... since the 4th of July is right around the corner, I wanted to share a few patriotic cards that I made using Unity's "Unity in America" set. (This set can only be purchased right now through Memory Making Crafts.) I really love the Americana images in the set!

I paired one of the sentiments from the set with some gorgeous Webster's Pages paper below.

And... here is another one using the same paper line. I wanted to make the pitcher look like yellow ware & added a crackle finish. (You can always see a close-up by clicking on the picture.)

And... here is another one of the images paired with some Jillibean Soup paper & Sassafras chipboard.

Your next stop on the blog hop is our fearless leader....
