A Country Wedding & Bits and Baubles

Hello my blog buddies!  I'm still playing catch-up & have some cards to share that I've recently posted to my Two Peas in a Bucket Gallery.  I had SO much fun making these!  The colors in so many of this season's collections are just so soft and beautiful!

I love this adorable truck from Echo Park & thought it would make the perfect getaway "car" for a country wedding! I loaded the truck bed with flowers & hearts & bits of sparkle. Instead of tin cans, I "tied" flowers onto the bumper using bakers twine.

And... here is a card I made for a sweet crafty friend of mine:
I love using rub-ons! They're always so vibrant & are so easy to customize. I used the Studio Calico Weekdays Rub-ons to create the word "Friend" by cutting apart bits and pieces and applying them side-by-side. The rest of the card was really fun to make too! I punched out several circles, added stitching, and then topped them with buttons and other treasures.

Stamp It! Cards - Picture Perfect Friend

So... have you seen the latest issue from Paper Crafts Magazine?  This new Stamp It! Cards issue is packed... and I mean PACKED with the coolest stamped cards! --- 300 to be exact!

Fellow Go-to Gal Teri has a post full of "real life reasons" why you should check it out here.

And Miss Kim has been sharing Stamp It! projects all week on her blog!

Here is one of my favorite cards from this issue:

I love the retro Polaroid stamp from Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese set.  It's just so rad!  I colored it with Copics & the sentiment is a conglomeration between the Say Cheese & the Say Cheese Too sets.

Thanks for coming over to check out my blog today!

Here For You Card

One of my former co-workers recently found out that she has breast cancer.  She's younger than me & just had a new baby.  I just can't imagine!  Here is a card I made for her.  Hopefully it brought a sunny spot into her day.

I wanted to feature a pink ribbon in my design, so I misted some seam binding to create something that would fit with the soft vintage colors in my paper.

The large flowers are Foldies from Sassafras.  They come in large groups that can be folded (hence the name) into 3-dimensional shapes.  They're a little overpowering for a card sometimes, but they work great if you snip the individual blossoms!

The inside of the card has this scripture:  Isaiah 41:10

You can read more about this card in my Two Peas gallery.  :)

'Smash'ing Father's Day Card

Here is my latest project for the Two Peas gallery!  Have you seen the new Smash Collection by K & Company?!?  Not only are they great for journaling/scrapbooking... they work great for cards!  I tore out a couple of pages from one of my Smash Books & used it on my card.  The old school man is one of their bookmarks.  Just slide the bookmark in a pocket & voila!  Instant gift!

(You can find this card in my gallery HERE.)
