SC Inspires Blog Hop

Welcome to the Studio Calico Inspires blog hop!  Today I wanted to take a minute and share with you how SC inspires me.  I also just *might* have an awesome giveaway at the end of this post!

As some of you know, I'm part of the Studio Calico Creative Team.  Specifically, I'm on the Card Team, but my love for SC products don't stop there.  I actually subscribe to the Project Life kits & have for quite some time.  They coordinate perfectly with the Card Kits & allow me to really stretch my supplies and create some fun projects each month.
I would consider myself a "dabbler."  Although I love making cards, I also really enjoy crafting in all aspects.  I love making home decor pieces, gifts, wearable art, etc. out of papercrafting/scrapbooking supplies.  And, although I'm not a traditional (weekly) "Project Lifer", I love using pocket pages to document trips, events, & everyday life with my family.

The Project Life kit is perfect for someone like me because with this kit, you can do it all!  The journaling cards work really well as focal points on greeting cards.  The PL kits also always come with amazing embellishments.  The copper rub-ons in October's kit were just the thing to dress up the bottom of this card.
Sometimes the cards are so amazing that I just pull them from my kits & hang them on my fridge or in my craft room for inspiration.  I found this tiny frame at the dollar store & added one of the 3x4 cards from the Underground PL kit to it.  Voila!  Instant home decor! (Isn't that printed masking tape pure PERFECTION?!?  I want to use it on everything!)
The thing I love most about Studio Calico is that they are always pushing the boundaries to create new & innovative products.  That's what inspires me like none other.  And, I've found that having fresh products each month really helps the creativity flow.

I filled this little jar with fall scented potpourri & applied one of the rub-ons from the PL kit to the front.  And... of course, I can't put that masking tape down.  It's just perfect for everything!
And now... are you ready for some fun?  Let's start with this FREE PRINTABLE that's available for download right now!  Click Here to get yours!

But wait... there's more!

In honor of my "new" blog, I've got a box full of some of my very favorite things... and I'm giving it away to one of you!
Stickers, wood veneer, washi tape, patterned paper, rub-ons, die-cuts, ribbon, mists, stamps & more!  I think you'll especially love this Amy Tangerine calendar stamp. :)

Two Peas Gardeners' Digest - February

Welcome to the Gardeners' Digest - a monthly blog hop from the Two Peas In a Bucket Garden Girls!

You can begin the hop at the Two Peas blog.  If you've come from Paige Evans' blog, you're on the right track!

Make sure to check back on March 1st for the next Trendy Trios feature!  I've got some fun projects in the works & I can't wait to share what next month's trend is!

I am completely in awe of Corrie Jones' style!  I could just look at this page all day!  I love the way she mixes art & embellishments... and she knows how to really tell a story.

1.  The new Yes, Please collection (Amy Tangerine for American Crafts) just arrived at Two Peas!  One of my favorite pieces are these rub on transfers.  I used the camera (page 2 not shown) as a template to hand-stitch this card that I created for Shimelle's blog earlier this week.

2.  Farm Animals wood veneer by Studio Calico
There is so much to love about these new wood pieces!  Horses are so trendy right now & I love this preppy horse silhouette found in this set.  Of course, I'm a country girl & the goats, cows & chickens remind me of my childhood.  Makes me feel all warm & fuzzy inside.

3. Good Times stamp set by Mama Elephant
I love a good sentiment set & this one just tops them all!  I love the trendy sayings & fun fonts, not to mention the cute balloons & bow.

What's better than washi tape?  How about a washi page!?!  You can cut the strips apart & use them like traditional washi or die cut to create a fun multi-patterned embellishment.

5. The Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm collection
I am head-over-heels in love with this whole line.  The soft colors mixed with navy just make me giddy.  There are preppy horses in this collection too, which just rocks.  Make sure to check out the red polka dot vellum in this collection too.  Yum-o!

I am crazy excited about this workshop by Wilna Furstenberg!

You can learn all about her Art Class by clicking here.

One of you lucky ducks will win a free spot in this class by commenting on this post!  (Please leave your Two Peas username in the comment section.)  I'll draw a winner on March 1st.

*If you are the winner but have already signed up for the class, you can either chose to be refunded or you can gift the class to a friend!

Two Peas Gardeners' Digest - January

Welcome to this month's Gardeners' Digest - a blog hop by the Two Peas in a Bucket Garden Girls!  You can begin the hop by visiting the Two Peas blog & then journey on to find inspiration, product faves, & giveaways along the way.

I have a fun surprise up my sleeve for February!  Be sure to check back to find out more about a new video series I'll be launching next month.  :)

I am a huge fan of Anna-Maria Wolniak.  Her style is so fresh & unique & she just created her very first video tutorial for Two Peas.  If you'd like to see her creative process in action, you can watch her video here.

#1 - Photoshop Action Downloadable Sets by Adrienne Looman

I am SO excited that Two Peas now has several Action sets available for Photoshop/Elements users!  If you've never used actions before, they're so fun!  You basically click a button & your pictures transform into beautiful creations instantly.  Pretty cool!

I love this new Valentine line!  I just saw it in person at CHA & fell head-over-heels.  Of course, it's great for Valentine's Day, but the prints are perfect year round as well!

Two Peas just started carrying Mama Elephant stamps.  I ordered the We Click set above, but they're all awesome!  I love how trendy they are.  Mmm!  Can't wait to try it out!

These wood veneer arrows are the perfect accent for cards or layouts!  You can ink them, paint them, or leave them in their natural state.  I think they're especially awesome for boyish projects.  :)

Over the years, I have become a connoisseur of ink pads... and this one is my all-time favorite!  I use it almost daily & love the crisp, clear coverage it provides.  I'm so excited that Two Peas is now stocking it on their shelves!  :)

I'm so excited about my debut Two Peas workshop called Journey Into Card Making & wanted to give away a spot to one of you!

If you haven't heard, I just launched an online card making workshop for those of you who are new to card making or for those who would like to stretch their skills.

The workshop is self-paced, so you can sign up & work through the chapters on your own time frame.  The class is yours for a lifetime.  :)

Included in the workshop are over 30 brand new card designs, 40 pages of PDF material & over 80 minutes of video.

There are also some fun surprises, such as a downloadable card organizer and an awesome card kit & box set.  (These downloads are available for both Silhouette & non-Silhouette users.)

The cost of the workshop is only $12!  You can read more about the workshop HERE.

Just leave a comment on my blog, including your Two Peas user name, & I'll chose a winner on Monday, January 28th.

If you've already signed up for the workshop & win a spot, your class fees can either be refunded or you can gift the spot to a friend.

Your next stop on the blog hop is Amy Tan!
