Happy Monday! :) I thought I'd post one of the cards I submitted for the Paper Crafts' Go-to Sketch call that didn't make the cut. I think it's SO funny, b/c one of the cards that DID make it in the magazine uses the same image! Kim Hughes' card is ADORABLE, so if you have the issue, go check it out. :) (Kim hand cut her band-aids & wrote her own sentiment & I used stamps drawn by Kim.)Supplies:

Hey everyone! Today, I wanted to show you the newest Kit of the Month by Unity (in case you haven't had a peek yet). And... there's a Garage Sale going on today too! Make sure to make your way to the Unity Blog to check it all out! :)
I was a crazy Black Friday shopper this year and snatched up a baby Cricut machine (they were $125 off!!!). So... I wanted to try it out and made this retro tea pot. This machine is so fun! My boys love helping me push the buttons. It's like magic to them. :) I used some Domestic Goddess paper from Graphic 45 & woodgrain paper from Cosmo Cricket... and then added the tea bag image from the KOM.
And... here is the inside of my card using a sentiment from the kit. Thanks for visiting! Have a great one!
Good morning!!! I woke up today feeling all crafty and motivated to get creative. Tonight, my Crafty Chicks class meets for our monthly get-together and I have all kinds of Christmas projects up my sleeve! So... I'm putting last minute touches together for that and also made this card using November's Kit of the Month from Unity!
As soon as I saw this kit, my heart started pumping a little bit harder because I LOVE to use game pieces on my paper crafting projects. I think this crossword has so much potential! You could use it for any occasion and fill it in with words to match your theme. But... today, I decided to leave it blank and pair it with a sentiment block from the set. Once again, I think the sentiment could be used for so many things... but I'm in the holiday spirit and went with a Christmas theme.
I found this great sketch from Everything But the Kitchen Sink & wanted to utilize it on my card. I just cut up the striped paper and altered the angles to create my pattern. I found these tiny jingle bells at JoAnn's the other day and thought they would look festive tied up on my card. The star is a chipboard piece from Cosmo Cricket that I inked and antiqued a bit to coordinate. All in all... I think I'm pretty happy with how it turned out! It almost makes me want to put up my Christmas tree right now! ;)
Make sure to check out the Unity Blog today! They're having a Garage Sale & you've got to love a bargain! :) Have a good one!!!

Today, the Unity girls are showcasing the November Store Kit - Believe in Fairytales!
This kit is packed full of images that you can use all year through! I think this snowman image is just adorable! I love the different patterns in the stamp... and decided to play off of them just a bit with my paper. I tied a piece of string around his twig and 'dangled' a gold heart from the end. I bought these heart brads about a year ago and had no idea what to do with them (hate it when I do that!)... but thought this worked out pretty well! Now I just have to find a use for the other 50. ;) The sentiment is just perfect (and is part of the set too!).
Thanks for coming over! Now... I'd better go feed my children before Social Services comes after me. ;)
These past few weeks have been a blur! For some reason, I feel like I've been playing catch-up for awhile now. So.... this is going to be a long post, but I wanted to show you some of the things I've been working on & haven't yet had a chance to blog. :) You can find a supply list & instructions at the bottom of the post for each card.

Good morning! :) Today's card is for this month's Jiffy Girls' challenge! This month, Alli picked one of my favorite images from Unity's "A Pocket Full of..." set (July's Kit of the Month). I just LOVE the folk feel of this bird! Mmmm! And... miss Carole sent us some Graphic 45 paper that just so happened to match PERFECTLY with this image! I can't wait to see how the other girls put the two together!
The sentiment is from the same Unity kit. I love how a simple saying can have so much style! And... I was pretty excited when I found out my circle punch fit perfectly over the letter "I"! I just added a few rhinestones to accentuate all of the circles found in the paper, bird, and sentiment.
Make sure to check out what the other girls came up with!
Have you been following the Paper Crafts blog this week? They're debuting their newest publication, 'Holiday Cards', & they've posted TONS of inspiration - along with great daily challenges! When I saw the 'Fun & Cute' Challenge, I knew I had to give it a whirl!
I just discovered this adorable Etsy shop called 'Digi Stamp Characters' (Thanks Michele!) full of THE cutest digital images! So... I snatched this one up quickly! Who could resist a face like this?!? ;)I paper pieced her houndstooth jacket and added a tiny stamp from Papertrey ink for the sentiment. (Her sleeve is popped up with a dimensional to make it a little more realistic.) The little cutie was colored with Copics & her skirt just had to be denim! I'm really getting a lot of use out of this one pair of worn out jeans! Who knew one pair of little boys' jeans could go so far? Love that stuff!
