This cute die is the perfect frame for these cute little peas from Vegtastic.  I added an adorable hand-written sentiment from Simply Said.

A Hodge Podge + Giveaway Winners

First of all, I wanted to say "thanks bunches" for all of you who have visited my blog lately... and for those of you who commented on my Gardners' Digest post, I'll share the two winners of my giveaways in just a bit!

Also, thank you to those who have purchased one of my scrapbooking "grab bags!"  I still have some additional boxes left & will be selling them for $40 (+10 shipping if you can't pick them up locally.)

So... have you heard the news?  Studio Calico just announced that they will adding a CARD Kit Club beginning in September!

I've been a long-time subscriber to their scrapbooking kits & have really enjoyed using them for my cards... but because it was geared towards scrapbookers, sometimes I found it a little more challenging to use the large prints or Thickers that were included.

I'm really excited about their new exclusive 6x6 pads that will be included in each card kit.  (If you're not familiar with Studio Calico kits, every month there are awesome exclusive papers & embellishments that come in the main kit.)  They are going to take those same papers & shrink them down for those of us who work with smaller-scaled projects.  Perfect for carmakers & Project Life!

I just signed up & can. not. wait!  There are a limited amount of kits available, so make sure to get your name on their waiting list soon if you're interested!  I'm hoping a bunch of my crafty friends sign up so we can have a virtual crafty get-together each month using our kits.  :)  You can find out more about the kits HERE.

And now... the winners of my Gardners' Digest post:

Paper Smooches/Studio Calico Venti Card

Today I made a card just for fun... and it felt so good.  :)  I am so use to creating to fulfill deadlines, commitments or assignments - which I still love to do, but this was pure fun.

I just got some of THE cutest stamps from Paper Smooches and was dying to ink them up!  So, I pulled out my most recent Studio Calico kit & challenged myself to only use those items.

(click on pictures for clearer view)

This stamp set is called Hot Concoctions, and those of you who know me KNOW how much I love my coffee!  The set comes with a variety of images that I just love and they're so easy to paper piece or color in.

I made this little tag from one of the exclusive SC papers from the kit & folded a little canvas oval over the top (from the Basic Grey Little Black Dress Canvas Petal embellishments found in the kit.)  I just punched a hole and added a bit of ribbon.  Easy peasy!

I just love buttons... especially ones as cute as these!  I used a large petal from the same canvas petal pack to frame this cute little cup.

Thanks for taking a peek!  Here are links to the products I used:

Big Design Memory Craft & Paper Smooches Give-Away!

Hey guys!  :)  I have been having so much fun playing with some of my new Paper Smooches stamps (designed by my friend Kim Hughes) along with some cool new products from Design Memory Craft.  And... want to know what else is cool?  I get to give away some of these cool new products to three of you!  Keep reading to find out more.  :)

For this card, I wanted to make a unique background for my cute little scooter to scoot along on.  So... I pulled out some watercolor paper along with some Color Gelatos and got to work.  For the sky, I rubbed a blue Gelato directly onto a cloud stamp & pressed it onto my watercolor paper.  Then, I used a small paintbrush dipped in water & brushed over the stamped images.  To add a little extra color, I picked up a little more blue from the Gelato with a wet paintbrush and painted along the clouds.  For the grass, I used a green Gelato like a crayon & lightly colored the bottom of the paper.  Then, I used a wet paintbrush to even it all out.
This little scooter was so fun to make.  I paper pieced and popped up different sections with foam tape.  For the sentiment, I used part of a stamp from the Spiffy Scooters set & omitted the ending - adding the word "thanks" from the Sentiment Sampler set.

So... want to know what's up for grabs?  :)  One lucky commenter will win the Falling For You stamp set by Paper Smooches:

And two lucky commenters will win a Faber Castell prize pack from Design Memory Craft!

Mixed Media Sampler Sets in Red, Yellow, Blue and Green encourage you to spread your creative wings and experiment with mixing mediums!  Each set includes a Stamper’s Big Brush, Gelato Metallic Stick, Pastel Pencil and Art GRIP Aquarelle Watercolor pencil.  Experiment with mixing colors and mediums or layer different mediums to create depth and details.  Or try using your rubber stamps with the different mediums to see which effects you like the most.

Color Gelatos are creamy sticks infused with brilliant color.  The color slides easily onto papers and can then be dissolved with water to create watercolor effects, or left to dry for vibrant bursts of color.  Try stamping with the Color Gelatos, or apply a field of color and use a stamp to remove the color.  Color Gelatos work wonderfully on flocked papers and embellishments too!  Color Gelatos are acid-free and odorless.

To be eligible for one of these fun prize packs, simply leave a comment on this post.  Please leave an e-mail address or a way for me to contact you.  :)  (You'll have until next Saturday, May 7th to leave a comment.)  Thanks guys, and good luck!  :)

I Am So Thrilled!

In lieu of today's festivities, I came up with this little number.  :)
We've taken a little winter siesta, but the Jiffy Girls are back at it again!
Once a month, a group of my crafty buddies get together Just For Fun (which we've coined our JiFFy Challenge).  One of us sends out a stamped image & someone else mails out some patterned paper.  We never know what kind of combination we're going to end up with... and that's half the fun!

This month, Carole sent us Echo Park's Madison Plaid from their Little Girl collection.  I sent everyone this juicy strawberry (Unity's Sweetest Day) stamp.

This must be the 'in' shade of green this season, because this paper from Cosmo Cricket's Upcycle matched the Echo Park paper perfectly!  I made a little seed packet (using this template) and stamped a sentiment from Paper Smooches Vegtastic set.

Speaking of Paper Smooches, Kim Hughes is busy with her new company & won't be able to participate in our Jiffy Challenges any longer.  :(  But... make sure to check out the other girls' amazing projects using these same basic supplies!  It's always so much fun to see everyone's personal style shine through.  :)

Paper Smooches Co-Hop!!!

As I mentioned in my last post, my sweetie pie friend Kim Hughes opened a stamp company on February 1st called Paper Smooches!  On The first day of every month, she is releasing 3 new whimsical and fun clear stamp sets that she hand draws.  If you like cute stamps... I think you're going to FLIP over these adorable images!  Kim's fonts have always been some of my favorites & I'm so happy to be able to use her sentiments again too.

Kim asked me to create something using one of her February stamp sets.  I used Falling For You on each of my cards today.

Paper Smooches offers high quality photopolymer clear stamps, shaped card templates, a design center and so much more!  I LOVE the quality of these stamps!  (And believe me - there is a HUGE difference between clear stamp manufacturers!)

There will be a monthly challenge on the The Paper Smooches Blog.  (Free digi stamps are involved) Participants will be eligible to be a guest designer for the following month.

Here is a list of some of the Industry's top designers who are also playing with some Paper Smooches Stamps today:

Silly Valentine... and LOTS of Fun News!!!

I thought I'd hurry and try to get a post in before the next wave of this insane winter storm hits!  :)  I hope Spring hurries up and gets here!!!  But for now, February has me thinking about love.... and cute Valentines!  ;)

I think this set by Lawn Fawn is THE cutest Valentine stamp set that I've ever seen!  I just can't resist little smiling faces!  I'm really hoping our power stays on long enough for me to work in my craft room a little longer.  :)  This set is calling my name.

Speaking of total cuteness, did you read that there is a new stamp company on the market?!?  My friend, Kim Hughes, revealed today that she has started a brand new venture called Paper Smooches.  If you've followed my blog for a while, you might remember that I use to design for Cornish Heritage Farms.  Kim Hughes designed stamps for them before they closed shop... and her designs stole my heart from day one!

So many of you have contacted me... desperately looking for some of Kim's retired sets.  I had to bite my tongue until today... but I think the wait will be worth while!  :)  Make sure to check out her first stamp debut here.

And... since it's a brand new month... I also get to share Unity's NEWEST Kit of the Month with you!!!

I love so many things about this set... but that rainbow heart is just so retro and fun!  I can't wait to ink it up!

Thanks for visiting!  I hope you all stay safe & warm!!!
