A few weeks ago, I came across a "new" stamp company and fell head over heels! Sugar Nellie is based out of Scotland and has some of THE cutest images! I really loved the stamps by one of their artists, Leanne Ellis --- so you'll be seeing them pop up on my blog quite a bit. :)
My grandpa has Parkinson's disease and has recently needed to move to a nursing home. He had a really rough night a few days ago and one of the CNA's came in to check on him in the morning. She was so sweet to him and even prayed with him for a little while. My grandpa was so touched by her (Actually, he couldn't stop talking about her. LOL!) -- and I wanted to make her a card to let her know how much her kindness meant to my grandpa... and to our entire family. The inside of the card reads, "No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." (quote by Aesop).
I'd also love to have you jump over to read my latest Craft Critique article! This card is part of the post. :)
Here's another view so that you can see the dimension on the card. Isn't this image the cutest?!? :)

I went to the Sugar Nellies site recently and fell in love with these images, too (though I haven't ordered any yet... I'm sure you'll push me over the edge, though!) I'm sure your grandpa's nurse will love this, and will take even better care of him after receiving this beautiful gesture of appreciation! You are just so sweet, you know it?!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card and it will mean so much to your grandfather's nurse. They don't get thanked enough for what they do, but often get critisied for things that are beyond their control.
ReplyDeleteHey, Ive come across your blog a few times now and I wanted to say its simply adorable. Not to mentional all your amazing artwork. Im a Christian too!!! I hope you dont mind if I put a link to your blog on mine. (jmnmyfavoritethings.blogspot.com) I would love to look at it everyday and share it with others.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great work.

ReplyDeleteHow do they keep coming out with such adorable little girl stamps ?? :) What a beautiful card with an even more beautiful purpose!
ReplyDeleteJulie, Julie, Julie...lol...I have this image (along with too many others) on a wishlist in the Sugar Nellie website. Your card is BEYOND adorable! I hope your grandpa is doing better. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThank you Julie for using Annie, she is too cute and you have made an adorable card with her.
ReplyDeleteI am sure your family can rest a little knowing Granpa is in a good place with people to take care of him.
