Quick Christmas Gifts and BLOG CANDY!!!

I mentioned having some Blog Candy on my last post.... so here you go!!! :)

Card Creations - Quick & Easy II

Card Creations #6

Paper Crafts Jan/Feb

I wanted to thank all of my readers for coming to visit over the past year! I can't believe I've had over 100K visits so far! So... as a 'thank you!', I'm offering up a few magazines for one lucky reader! :) I have cards in each of these magazines & am super excited to share them with you! Read through this post to find out how YOU can win! :)

Do you remember me telling you about
these downloadable calendars from A Muse? They are a great, inexpensive way to make those last-minute gifts... and the proceeds go to a wonderful cause! I just used cardboard coasters (covered with patterned paper) along with my Bind-it-All for mine... but I'm sure you can come up with other ways to present them if you don't own a binding machine.

I used Kim Hughes' Number Fun set to stamp the year on the front of my calendar & added a few rub-ons to give it a pop of color.

I found a huge assortment of boxed holiday cocoa at Wal-Mart and wanted to package it in a fun way. I basically wrapped it in cardstock to create a slider box.

And... here is what it looks like open:

To make a super quick, coordinating gift bag, I simply covered a Kraft bag with paper! I couldn't get a great shot of this, but the white area is super shimmery in real life. I added a chipboard snowflake (covered in shimmery ink) as my gift tag.

Here's another quick bag I made. This is a great way to use up that holiday paper that you HAD to have... and then never got around to using. (not that I know anything about that....) ;)
Below is another bag I made, using a downloadable tag from the Black Apple. These tags are SO cute... and the best part? --- they're FREE!!! You really need to go check them out. All of the designs are super fun!
This is the bag I made for some of my friends and my boys' teachers. It has hot cocoa, holiday chocolates, and a matching mug inside. This tag was just what I needed!

So... do you want to win some blog candy? Just leave me a comment on this post. If you already have one of these publications, just let me know. I might have another one that you'd like to add to your craft library. :) I'll pick a random winner on December 26th. Be sure to come back and visit to see if you won!!!

  9. I love your gift ideas! For another way to make the calendars if they don't have a binding machine is to punch two holes (near the ends) and join with circle clasps.

I have a subscription to Paper Crafts, but would love a chance to win the other two magazines.

  14. Julie - I love the cocoa cover you made - what a great idea!! My 14 year old son and his girlfriend will be making sugar cookies on Monday and Tuesday here at our home, and I'll have to pull out the kraft bags that I have and have them decorate them up. They'll be gifting our neighbors with the treats and teh bags would be a great idea for something that they can pass on!
Love your blog candy- wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and celebrate the real reason for this season!

  19. Wow, you've been on a roll. I haven't submitted anything in a couple years. I think the last time I was published was in The RubberStamper and they don't even exist any more. LOL. Tells you how long it's been. You're an inspiration to get my butt in gear again.
