Ahh! I've never been so happy to be HOME! :) It took me 6 hrs. to drive home today after work due to an ice storm that hit the midwest. Bleck! Every muscle in my body is sore. It was pretty tense to say the least. But... now I'm here -- and on vacation for over a week!!! Heaven!
I wanted to share a card I made for the latest Moxie Fab World Challenge! The challenge was to make a holiday card/tag with a 'woodsy' theme. I've had this Imaginisce dotted owl sticker for months and thought he'd look pretty spiffy decked out with a Kim Hughes Santa hat. :)
I don't know if anyone has a stamp with this sentiment... but if not, it needs to be made. ;) I used little alphabet rub-ons for the top portion and applied them directly onto my twill. (The twill is suppose to look like a scarf.)
The holly and sentiment are also Kim Hughes images by CHF. I stamped the holly and then drew a line to give the owl something to perch on.
If I don't see you before Christmas, I hope you all have a WONDERFUL holiday! I've got some super fun Christmas gifts that I need to blog... but I don't want to give away any surprises in case my family's peeking. :)

ReplyDeleteThat is one fabulous little owl :)
he's so sweet! I love the layout and your style, girl! Merry Christmas, Julie - thank you for sharing so much on your blog. I am inspired every time I come and see what you've made! :)

Oh Julie, 6 hours?! That's terrible! When Shari came around asking about leaving early I asked her if you would be able to get out early because you had the longest drive. She said she thought she could get you out. Was she able to? What time did you leave? I thought you might have to spend the night at your in-laws. Well, like you said, now you're off for over a week and have plenty of time to recover. Have a great Christmas! Mary
ReplyDeleteGreat card and I agree that someone should make a stamp with those words on it.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours
Merry Christmas Julie! I'm glad you are home too, and enjoy your holiday from work.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you made it safely. We've been having yucky snowy roads too! Not fun to drive on! Have a Merry Christmas!!
