Egg-citing News!!!!

No... I am NOT pregnant (Thank Goodness!) -- so don't get any wrong ideas! Actually, I don't know of anyone newly pregnant... but I'll be ready whenever that day comes, I guess. This card just makes me smile all over. The little red hen and her crew CRACK ME UP! This stamp is by Rubber Soul (Chicken Family). I've had it for a little while, but needed the perfect sentiment.

One day I was browsing through Gina K's store and found this sentiment! I was so egg-cited, I snatched it up right away! I used another of Gina's stamps to make a dashed frame around the chick family. I kept looking at it and decided to add some markings with a fine tipped pen... and VOILA! Chicken prints!

All of the paper that I used for this card came from my Paper Pretties card kit this month. Can I just say how much I LOVE getting this box in the mail each month?!? I just pulled out the Cosmo Cricket paper (Dutch Girl), the matching red cardstock, and some of the ribbon and made a quick card. I love having everything already coordinated for me.

One of my recent purchases was this Photo Corner Punch. I use to try to cut these free-hand, but the angles never came out right. Now, in half a second, I have beautiful -perfect- corners! It just adds a nice design element to a project, imo.

Copic Spica Pen in red (to color and add sparkle to hen)
Sakura White Gel Pen (to add opaque white color to egg)
Black Stickles (to add tiny black dots along the scalloped edge)

  1. Adorable card, Julie! Love the little chicken family! How cute!

  2. Super cute! How perfect is that sentiment...saw you at the party last night!
I've really gotta decide what I'm going to order so I can get the "secret thing"!

  3. Very sweet card! Love those peeps.

  4. Your card is adorable, and I love the chicken prints!!

  5. Julie, You know I want this card when my time comes!!!!! Cynthia
