I'm SO Excited!!! I think I'll give away some blog candy to celebrate......

Wow! This is a big week for me! I turn 30 in a couple of days (which I'm fine with). Thirty still seems like a good number to me. Plus, I've been working as a nurse for 9 years (yeah... started young!) I've been married for 8 years... I have 2 kids... I FEEL 30! My twenties have been full. I wonder what the next 10 years will be like.

So... want to know what I'm so excited about? (I don't MIND being 30... but I wouldn't say I am EXCITED about it either) So... this afternoon, I was checking my e-mail and received a letter from an editor. So... my heart starts beating a little faster as I start scanning the message. I had to read it 5 times to make sure I read it correctly. I'm going to be PUBLISHED! Agh! Me?!? It's not going to be for several months, but I'll share info when I can. Agh! Double Agh!

I don't know if any of you have read my "about me" section... but when I created my blog this June, I wrote about some of my goals. One was to become a design team member and the other was to become published. I just can't believe that in 4 months, both of my goals have become a reality. So, now I'm going to set some more goals. My BIG goal is to find a way to turn this passion into a career. I keep asking the "experts" and everyone gives me the same response. Basically... this craft will never be able to replace a "real job" financially unless you create a company or design stamps. I don't plan on doing either... so I'm hoping there is a choice "C". I would love to work for a magazine or papercrafting company... as long as the work involves creativity. I am starving for a job where I can be creative! Does anybody out there need an employee? :)

So... in lieu of beginning to conquer my goals.... I'm going to give away some blog candy! Let's celebrate together! Just leave me a comment on this posting telling me what you would like to see more of on my blog.... or what you would like to see less of. I'm open to ideas! Want to see what you're playing for???

One lucky winner will receive this fabuloso clear stamp set courtesy of Rubber Soul! I'll pick a random winner on Thursday (MY B-DAY!!!). What's the catch? You HAVE to check back on my blog to see if you are the winner! If I don't have a response by Saturday, I'll pick another lucky winner! (Also, make sure you don't leave a comment as 'anonymous' ) Good luck!!!
