I read about an awesome card drive hosted by Lizzie Anne designs that benefits the organization 'Cards for Cancer'. I've made a few cards... but just realized that the cards are due by Monday! Agh! Hopefully I can get them there in time! I'm such a procrastinator! This has been helpful to me too because I could play with one of my newest Lizzie Anne sets - Christmas in the City!
I stamped the main image (skates) and added color and sparkle with Copic markers and Spica pens. I wish you could see how awesome these little Spica pens really are! I knew the image "needed something"... so I pulled out my Papertrey Ink Borders & Corners set and was thrilled to see that it framed my little skates perfectly! The card edges are "distressed" by using a sponge and Creamy Caramel ink.
This paper is from my newest FAVORITE paper pack that I found at Michaels! It's by K&Co (Wild Saffron Collection). You'll be seeing this paper on my blog A LOT I'm sure! It's all gorgeous! This sketch is for Julee Tilman's Mojo Monday Contest. I really like the layout and I'm sure I'll have to try it out again sometime! The final touch to this card is a piece of Hodgepodge hardware that I slipped on. I like how it resembles the swirls on the skate's laces.
Make sure you check back here again Thursday to see who the lucky winner is of the Rubber Soul stamp set!!!!!
