Flip Flop Hip Hop! Heart & Home Picture Frame

Happy Hip Hop Thursday!  Today, the Unity girls are FLIPPING and using Ippity stamps on all of our projects.  I wanted to make a home decor piece & found this dollar store frame in my stash.  This would make SUCH a quick & easy gift!

I used one of my favorite Ippity sets - What Matters Most.  I love the adorable hand drawn details of this trio of houses!  So cute!  I stamped the image onto some of We R Memory Keeper's Maple Grove paper & colored bits with my Copics.  The sentiment is a rub-on by Melissa Frances.  I think it was made for this stamp!  :)

If you haven't been to the Unity blog yet today, make sure to check it out!  I heard a rumor about new Jillibean Soup stamps and a HUGE SALE!?!  Eeek!  :)  Also... the new kit of the month will be here before you know it!  Here are a couple of sneaks to give you a taste of what's to come:

Flip Flop Hip Hop!

This week, the Unity girls are changing things up a bit!  We all got to get inky with some awesome stamps from our sister company, Ippity!  And.... all of the Ippity girls got to get creative with some Unity stamps!  It's a Flip Flop Hip Hop & it's sure to be a lot of fun!  :)

Flip Flop Hip Hop

As soon as I saw the stamp set Quotes a 'la Happy... I KNEW I had to have it.  Tanis is one of my favorite artists & I always love her stuff!  I mean, seriously!  Could this BE any cuter?!?

This week's Tuesday Trigger on the Moxie Fab World blog was so inspiring!  I wish I had this quilt for myself.  It's gorgeous!  But... for now, I'll have to settle for a paper version.  ;)

This little quilt is so fun and easy to color!  I just 'hung it on the line' to dry in the sunshine.  I love those little birdies too.  Eek!  They're so cute!  (They remind me a lot of the birds on my blog.)  :)

I used a sentiment sticker from Crate Paper's Restoration line & patterned paper from October Afternoon's Thrift Shop collection to tie everything together.

So... are you ready to see more inspiration?  You can start your hop at the Unity blog... but from here, make your way to Jen Erickson's blog to see how she used her new Ippity stamps!

Happy Hip Hop Thursday!!!  I've been a bad blogger --- a VERY baaaad blogger.  But, hopefully I can make up for it today.  I have a LOT of fun Unity cards to share with you.  :)

A few weeks ago, the girls from the design team each made a card for the Unity guessing game.  For those of you who saw it... this one was mine:

I really love the blossoms from the Best Wishes & Blooms set!  They're perfect for layering!

Next up is a fun card from the new Unity/Cosmo Cricket stamp sets.

Speaking of Christmas... here are a couple more Unity & Ippity holiday cards:

*from the Ippity set:  Kissmas & Mistletoe

*from the set:  Embellished Season

And... last but not least, here's a colorful card using images from the Stuck on You set:

From my blog, make sure to hop over to see some out of this world scrappy wonder from Jen Erickson!!!

May Happiness Fill Your Heart

OK. I just have to laugh a little at myself. If you read my previous post, you can see that I must have been giving myself a little message yesterday while I was in 'stamp therapy'. LOL! I just read my sentiment and got a little tickled at myself.

Anyway.... today is Thursday, so I wanted to show you a project using my Unity stamps. These images are from February's Kit of the Month... and I just wasn't ready to put it down yet. :) (You'll be seeing some fun new projects with the March KOM soon!) Those little flowers are just the right size to top with buttons.

And... do you see that sweet little birdie? She's from the Ippity set, "What Matters Most" by Unity. :)

Thanks for visiting my blog! I really appreciate all of your support and comments! You guys are the best! :)

Spring Is In the Air!

OK. That title is 'wishful thinking' for me. I am SO ready for some sunshine and a little warm air. I can't remember what it feels like to go outside without getting frostbite. :) SO... I thought a "springy" card was in order.

I was completely inspired by THIS cute card by Maile yesterday. I love how she used the negative of her die cut to showcase a pop of color layered underneath. So... I used the same concept, only on a larger scale.

I LOVE the sentiments in the February Kit of the Month by Unity! Look at that tiny butterfly image fluttering around the words! I couldn't have asked for a more perfect stamp to go with my card. :) I covered my sentiment with some Shimmerz paint to make it all sparkly.

And... I made that little silk flower out of ribbon (you can watch my video tutorial HERE).
And... while I was at it, I thought I'd try out the Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger challenge, based off of this inspiration piece by Kimberly Crawford:

The butterfly image I used is from the Ippity set What Matters Most. (The buttons on the butterfly are from my husband's great grandmother's button stash.) I love this little chip sentiment by Melody Ross (Homespun Chic collection for GCD Studios). I think it's just perfect for a butterfly theme. :)

Be Still & Know...

Hey everyone! I'm super excited today to share a sneak peek at one of the newest Ippity stamp sets! This set is called 'What Matters Most' & is SERIOUSLY a must-have stamp set! Its packed full of the cutest images... but also has some great sentiments and inspirational messages included.
I paired this verse with the cute little birdie image... and really wanted my card to have a clean, STILL feeling to it - to emphasize the message. And... if you saw my earlier post, you know I made some homemade felt embellishments using a Cuttlebug die set. These are SO easy to make. The felt is by Heather Bailey & it cuts like a dream. (Just a hint: The Cuttlebug machine cuts fabric & felt better than any other die cutter I've found) I just added one of these felt flowers to the top of my card with a brad & then added a strip to the bottom of my card for some added texture.

Make sure to check out the Ippity Blog today to find out more about this fab new release! AND... check out more sneak peeks from this set by clicking on the designer's links below!
