The countdown is on! The new kits will be revealed tomorrow & I can't wait for you to see them in full! But for now, I'll give you a few peeks. (links will become active at reveal)
Here's what I made with the Hello, Hello card kit, the Ciao card kit add-on & the Howdy stamp/die add-on.
The main card kit comes with a really versatile kit filled with pieces to make flowers… and many other things. I made the card above using the Mr. Huey's watercolor set & the heart stamp from the kit.
The card below was made with the same stamp set. Do you ever see other (unintentional) images in stamps? That's what happened with this card. I thought the floral images would make cute little people. (The flower centers turned into faces, the petals - hair, and the dandelion pieces - mouths.) I used the included die to make photo corners.
This is another card made with the stamp set. I used the petals to form a 4-leaf clover.
With Father's Day around the corner, I wanted to design a card for all the men in our lives. I'll be sharing this free Silhouette cut file after reveal here on my blog.
I've been asking for felt to be added to our kits for awhile & I'm so excited to have it in this month's main card kit! I cut this pennant out by hand & stamped "party hats" to make a small banner to go with it.
The Howdy stamp set has THE CUTEST illustrations! I added highlights with a white gel pen & a white colored pencil.
Let's talk about the Ciao add-on. If you have any little ones (or know anyone who does) this set is for you! There is an animal metal die set that you can get separately that coordinates with the stamp set. I used some of the included ombre embroidery floss to hang the animals from my "mobile" & stitched a decorative border with it as well.
This card uses a couple of really fun new releases too. The feather was made with one of the digital brush/cut file sets. (Just open the images in your Silhouette & trace.) The Friend die is by Paper Sushi for Studio Calico & is just the perfect size to pair with other word stamps. It cuts beautifully!
If you're like me, you'll want to start filling up your cart so that you can begin bundling your orders to earn free shipping. (One of the perks of being a subscriber.)
I'm loading up on new letterpress plates & some other odds & ends.
Many of the metal dies that I designed in previous months are now back in stock. I especially love the Attacher Die (which allows you to add any photos or memorabilia to your albums.)
If you've thought about trying the Card Kit or Project Life Kit subscription, today is the LAST DAY that you can sign up risk free. Give it a try & cancel any time if you find that it's not for you. You can sign up here & enter the promo code: NORISK14
I get the card kit each month as part of the Card Kit Creative Team, but I subscribed to the kits even before I joined Studio Calico. I also purchase the Project Life kit on my own. I wouldn't say that I'm a "Project Lifer", even though I do some pocket scrapbooking occasionally. The supplies are actually perfect for card making & I use the Project Life cards as part of my card fronts all the time. The stamps & embellishments are great for scrapbooking, card making, or for pocket scrapbooking… and the price can't be beat!
Let me know if you ever have questions about the kits. I would be happy to give you honest feedback.
I'll see you soon for reveal!
Words cannot describe how much I love your "little people" card! It is the most fantastic thing I've ever seen done with a card kit! I tip my hat to you! Great job!!
