Vintage Book Tablet Clutch

*Edited - You can find a video tutorial of this project here.

I love making things.  This blog has generally focused on my love of paper crafting... but lately I've been thinking about expanding the blog to share some other crafts.  I love it all.  I've always been a maker of some kind or another.  I love working with fabric, paint, yarn, and of course paper.  I love to create & allow myself to be creative.  That's where my heart is.

Here's my latest project that I thought I'd share with you.  I saw a few ideas on Pinterest on converting vintage books into clutches.  Kate Spade actually has a really cute one.  I took several of the ideas, combined them, & added some touches of my own.  (Here's a good resource for the cover... although the instructions are a little hard to follow & it won't fit a tablet.)
I bought this vintage book a while ago, knowing that it would make a cool project one day.  I don't see things with my name on them often & I had to snatch it up!

I wanted to make sure my clutch could hold my iPad & wanted it to have some pockets for storage/organization.  I LOVE how it turned out!  I've also been hoarding this Liberty of London fabric & love how it looks with the book cover.

So what do you think?  Would you like to see more?  I'm thinking about making a tutorial if people are interested.

Thanks for taking a peek!
