New Goodies at Studio Calico

I am so, so excited today!  Can I just say how amazing it is to be a part of the team at Studio Calico?  One of the things that I love most about the company is their willingness to listen to the customers & their designers.

During Camp Calico last spring, I mentioned that I thought our customers (myself included) would love to have some trendy SC style metal dies to work with.  My initial idea was for a die that could quickly create confetti.  I love the look of confetti filled PL style pocket pages & shaker cards or bits of confetti sprinkled on a layout.  It's also great for parties & celebrations.  In fact, I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to the many uses of confetti.
April let me run with my ideas & I designed the confetti die, as well as several other designs.

Today is the first day that my designs will be available in the Studio Calico shop & I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!  (Subscribers can begin shopping at noon & they'll be available to everyone at midnight.)

I made a video to show you a close-up peek of the dies as well as a few tips & tricks.  Here are my first designs: the Classic Confetti craft die, the Arrows Cardmaker craft die & the Heart and Star Geotag craft die set.

Here are some of the supplies that I shared in my video that work really well with the dies:
1. Adhesive Cork Stack (The dies cut through this cork like butter!  They come with adhesive already in place, 15 sheets to a pack.)

2. Double Sided Adhesive Sheets (Make stickers out of any die cut shape. Takes the mess and hassle out of adhering die cuts in place.)

3. Wire Snips (Used to snip apart dies to use them by themselves.  For example, the geotag set can be separated & used individually by snipping the metal connection between the dies.)

Be sure to check out all of the amazing new kits & other dies/supplies that are being released today at Studio Calico.  If you haven't subscribed yet, you can do so here.

If you make anything with the new dies, I'd love to see them!  :)

  1. Julie, thanks for showing your dies in a video. I always appreciate seeing the actual die rather than just a drawing prior to purchase. Hope there will be some let to buy. BTW, great job with the design. They are truly multifunctional.
