Hey friends! Long time, no post. Our family has been on an extended vacation & in the middle of it, my sweet grandfather passed away after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. I found this post from 2007 about my grandpa. We were afraid those days were going to be his last... but he hung on & fought hard for many years to follow. My grandpa was one amazing man. I'm just so thankful that we have the promise of heaven & it makes my heart hurt less knowing that he is with Jesus & is whole again.
My husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the age of 49, 10 years ago. I am sorry any family has to go through this. I feel that a cure is around the corner, or at least prevention. I worry about the hereditary factor for my children. We must promote research in this area. So sorry for your loss.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your grandpa. What a blessing to know where he is and that you'll get to see him again. Also, to even have known him, many do not get to know their grandparents.
