Vintage Luggage Card Set

This vintage floral paper from the new Studio Calico Darling Dear collection reminded me of fabric I've seen on antique luggage sets - so I went in search of a way to recreate that look with paper.

I found a suitcase in the Silhouette store (Design ID #27580) and altered it a bit to make it look more like what I was picturing in my mind. The straps are made from washi tape (backed with cardstock.)

The suitcase opens & closes & is secured with a velcro tab.

I wanted the card set to be all-occasion, so I left the sentiment off & layered several of my favorite products on each.

I've been hoarding these vellum heart embellishments from Amy Tangerine, but they looked so cute with the paper, I had to part with them.  I adhered a wood veneer heart to the center of each to give it even more texture & dimension.

These label stickers from October Afternoon brought it all together.

And I love how this Lawn Fawn cord matches perfectly too!

  1. the suitcase is adorable but I love the cards even more!!! I'm loving those enamel dots, how thick are they compared to brads, pearls or rhinestones, are they a bit more flat? Gorgeous creations!
