Hip Hop! Cosmo Cricket Gift Idea

Happy Thursday, my peeps! :) Today, the Unity girls are sharing 'Thankful' projects on their blogs.  I'm sure you'll be seeing some awesome Thanksgiving and fall projects... but I wanted to go in a different direction today.  I don't know about you, but I have a lot of crafty friends -- and my crafty friends are some of the nicest people I know. I'm always looking for ways to show my appreciation & decided to make a craft kit for one of my friends.

Unity - CC Material Girl Thanks

This is a bright and happy card I made to say 'thank you'. I'm hostessing a challenge today on Splitcoast & I'd love to have you join in! The challenge is to make your own embellishments. I filled this kit up with lots of fun embellies & used one as a 'sun' on this card.  The bright yellow cloud background was made from a stamp from the October KOM.  The sentiment is from Unity's So Cute set.

Unity - CC Material Girl Kit

The base of my kit is a metal DVD tin. It's completely covered with Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl accessories - inside & out. I used Unity's Material Girl stamps to create this crafty little girl on the front. Isn't she cute? :)

The inside is packed with all the goodies a crafty girl would need to create cards, tags, etc. I used some envelopes to create pockets for all of the supplies. Behind the handmade embellishments there are pockets full of cardstock & patterned paper. I wrapped coordinating ribbon and tucked them in too.

These floral embellishments are super easy to make!  I just backed them with a re-positional glue dot so that they can be easily removed to use on a project.

The front pocket is full of Cosmo's Material Girl elements & chipboard stickers. These are perfect card starters!

From here, hop on over to see what Jen Erickson has for you!
