Let Your Wings Unfold

Happy Thursday! Today, I decided to go a little 'shabby chic' to dress up this cute little image from Unity's January Kit of the Month!

I found some of Melody Ross' Homespun Chic collection this week at Archivers and am head-over-heels in LOVE with it! Melody is such an amazing person & it shines through in her work. One of my favorite pieces in her collection are the Word Pieces chipboard. It is jammed packed FULL of the most wonderful, inspirational sentiments. And... after knowing her story, they all just mean SO much more to me.

Unity - Homespun Chic Birdie

The patterned paper is part of the Homespun Chic collection too. I painted the edges with some Crackle Paint from Ranger and inked it all up once it was dry to give it an aged patina. My cute little birdie was paper pieced a bit and colored with Copics.
