Wishing for Warm Weather

Is anyone else craving warm weather besides me? I have some new yummy chipboard (Blackboard actually) by Cosmo Cricket and had to break it in! I covered the pinwheel image with printed paper -- sanded -- and then added dark ink to the edges. I was sort of at a loss because I needed "something" to use as the base of the pinwheel. And then... a light bulb moment. A Drinking Straw!

I stamped the red panel with the Pretty Pattern Background image from CHF. If you look closely, the image mimics the shape of the pinwheel perfectly! :) I love it when things come together like that!

Supplies:

Stamps:
(sentiment): Cute Curls - the Kim Hughes Collection by Cornish Heritage Farms
(patterned image on red panel): Pretty Pattern Background by Cornish Heritage Farms

Ink:
Fired Brick Distress ink by Ranger
Espresso Adirondack ink

Paper:
Card stock - Suede Brown Dark & Sugar Cream Prismatic CS by Prism
Patterned Paper - White Out Collection by We R Memory Keepers

Accessories:
Buttons by Foof-a-la
Honey Pie Blackboard chipboard by Cosmo Cricket
drinking straw
Small Corner Rounder by EK Success
hole punch
Slit Punch by Stampin' Up!
Have a Great Day!
