I'm Back!

Whoo! Long time no post! I am finally starting to turn the corner on this illness! I started getting the itch to create something... so I knew I must be feeling better! I tell you - when you haven't done anything creative in a long time, it takes SO much longer to get the creative juices flowing again! It took me twice as long to get this card finished than it normally does... but it felt good to be back in my craft room!

This card was inspired by a sentiment from the Hugs & Kisses stamp set (Kim Hughes Collection by Cornish Heritage Farms). I traced a heart shape onto a sheet of pink, glittery, adhesive-backed paper and adhered to chipboard. Using brown and green embroidery floss, I added details to ribbon to create a "scarf".

The patterned paper comes from a large 12x12 sheet of decorative-edged Making Memories paper. I love being able to trim smaller areas of this paper to use on cards. One sheet can really go far that way.

Stamps:
Sentiment - Hugs & Kisses (Kim Hughes Collection) by Cornish Heritage Farms

Card Stock: Suede Brown Dark, Intense Kiwi - Prismatics Card Stock by Prism Papers

Patterned Paper: Ava Artisan Edge Pink by Making Memories Noteworthy Collection

Ink:
Tim Holtz' Distress Ink (Tea Dye)
White StazOn

Accessories:
- Chipboard heart
- Pastel Pink Sparkle Adhesive sheet by Archivers
- In Stitch'z by Bazzill (Silly Stitches piercing template; floss - Hillary & Geneva)
- Chartreuse Satin Gathered Ribbon by Making Memories
- White Souffle pen (used over white ink to emphasize sentiment)
- Small Corner Rounder by EK Success

  2. Goodness Julie, if being sick could make me create a comeback like this, I might willingly embrace it! This is so imaginative and clever! Your ribbon scarf is so realistic looking...no wonder it took you a while to make this card...your hand stitching and tassels are marvelous.
