This week's Bloggers Challenge was to use pictures or magazine clippings in your project. It was just the motivation I needed to start working on this project.
This is a box I made using the origami box video tutorial on K Werner's blog. These are really easy to make and I love how it turned out! My friend just had a beautiful baby girl... and this is the first of many things I have planned for her baby gift. (hope she doesn't read my blog very often!) :)
I used some of my Hippo Collection paper from Paper Salon (found at Paper Pretties). This paper is SO cute! You'll see the adorable matching hippo paper on some of my other projects.
One of my designer friends (Jillian) sent me this clear photo frame (found at Papertrey Ink) for my birthday! I wanted one of these so bad and they were sold out... so I was so excited to find it in my surprise package! Thanks Jillian!!!!
I added some felt ric rack and some designer series paper from SU to give the box a little extra design elements. The dimensional stickers (butterfly and birdie) are by K&Co. (Brenda Walton's Small Wonders Girl Clothesline Grand Adhesions--- found at Michaels).
What a beautiful baby gift for your friend. That photo is just perfect!
