This is a card I made with my first Lizzie Anne set - Jolie's Fleurs! Lindsey (aka Jacksonbelle) is having a card design contest on her blog with some awesome prizes! You know I can't resist a challenge! AND... for those of you who don't own any Lizzie Anne sets.... right now, she is also offering free shipping from her store. You just have to mention hearing about her contest when you purchase.
The idea behind the design was to create a butterfly and make it look like it was landing on a flower. I stamped one of the smaller flower images, colored and cut out only the petals. Then, I strung a few beads onto a piece of thread and attached it to the petals. The two ends of the string became the butterfly's antennas.
I used a piece of a transparency sheet for my window (layered between two pieces of lavendar CS). The flower on the inside of the card was stamped, colored in with Prismacolor Pencils, and then given some glitter accents. I used a white gel pen to add dots around the image - just to set it off a little more.
The color looks so much better in person, but it's midnight and I was anxious to take some pictures. :)
It is beautiful this way. I can't imagine how wonderful it is IRL.
