Last Minute Gift Idea

This might be my last post before the holidays, so I wanted to share a quick holiday gift (in case you need something for someone in a hurry!)

I also wanted to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! In the hustle and bustle of the season, I just wanted to stop and recognise what this holiday is all about. I am so thankful that God chose to send his son to the world to be my savior! I think about my own 2 boys and I can't imagine what it must have been like for God to send his son to the Earth --- knowing what the future would hold for Him. What an amazing, selfless gift.

Ok... now back to my little project (weird transition, I know. LOL!)

I found these little buckets at Target's Dollar Spot (I LOVE A GOOD DEAL!). Using my snowflake stamp set from SU and some Avery labels, I cutified some Hershey nuggets. Add a quick tag and some ribbon.... and you're done! Easy and yummy! What a great combo!

Get More Bang Out of Your Buck!

This week's Bloggers Challenge was an interesting one. We were challenged to take one stamp set and use it in a different way to showcase the versatility of the images. This was a card I made earlier this year using the Doodle This set by Stampin' Up! I really love this set, but now I love it even more!

I was doing a card class the other day and wanted to make some Christmas themed projects. I started looking through my sets and wasn't really excited about any of them... until I came across this doodle set again. I thought.... "I think this would make a perfect poinsettia!" So, I gave it a try and really liked how it turned out!

The card needed to be really simple to make because most of the girls at the workshop had never stamped before. I love the fact that this set can be used for ANY occasion! I just stamped and embossed 2 floral images, trimmed, and placed one on top of the other. I used a dimensional to adhere it to my card front. The swirly 'leaves' in the background were stamped with a Versamark pad (the same pad I used to emboss)... so the whole project took very little supplies. Don't you just love getting more bang out of your buck?

Discover the Best in Yourself

***DON'T FORGET TO SCROLL DOWN MY BLOG POSTINGS AND ENTER FOR A CHANCE TO WIN 2 STAMP SETS!!!***

This week's
Bloggers Challenge was to create a project using Spectrum Pads. Eek! I only own one of these, so it was kind of a struggle for me. I have to say I'm not quite sure of the turnout... but I guess that's why they call it a challenge! (check out my side bar to see what the other members created this week!)

I started by trying to find a solid stamp that I could use with my Spectrum Pad. I just got the Holiday Treats set from Papertrey Ink-- so I decided to try to use it for something other than 'Christmas-y' themed projects. I like it when I can broaden the use of a set and use it year-round. So... I inked it up... then embossed it with Iridescent Ice EP.

Isn't this patterned paper yummy? It's by Daisy D's (Colonial Revival). I got this and the stamp (When You Look - Stampabilities) from my local craft store. I love this saying!

The Baubles on the lower right corner of the card were a surprise for me from Christie Ortman that she included in my Paper Pretties box. I think she bought them from Em @ Stamping Bella.

And finally.... I cut out the sunflower image (colored with Copics) --- from the SU set 'Give Thanks' -- and adhered. The punch that I used for the border is by Martha Stewart Crafts.

I am totally zonked from stamping and uploading so much today! I think I might take a break for a couple of days!
