Stamping is Going GREEN! (read about a cool new product!)

Has everyone noticed that wherever you turn, you're reading about/watching a t.v. report about/or purchasing environmentally friendly "Green" products? Well... I have to admit, I could definitely do better at protecting our environment. I just can't give up those disposable diapers! (sorry, Mother Earth!) Anyhoo.... we as crafters ARE very good at one thing! ---taking old items that would normally get tossed in the garbage and giving them a new life.

I bought these yummy chocolate covered espresso beans from Choxxie probably a year ago -- and never could talk myself into tossing this cute little brown tin. I knew it would come in handy one day! My toddler had confiscated it at one point and I discovered it again after giving his room some much needed Spring cleaning!

Now... this is a project that could literally take 5-10 minutes to make... but what a sweet little gift for someone for Easter? I LOVE Asela's new Easter images. They are just so innocent and C-U-T-E!!!! I used my Spellbinders dies to cut the circles -- but you could just trace and cut your shape if you don't own these products. The pink band around the lid is made from SCRAPS of paper (see! I'm saving a tree here!). StazOn ink makes it easy to stamp directly onto any slick surface!

OK! Product Alert!

Have you been buying that expensive stamp cleaner that comes in a teenie tiny bottle? I think I've discovered a great new product! Have you guys seen Clorox's new Green Works collection at the supermarket? It cleans my acrylic & rubber stamps BEAUTIFULLY! Here is the ingredient list:

Green Works Natural All-Purpose Cleaner (99.93 percent natural): Filtered water, coconut-based cleaning agent (alkyl polyglucoside), corn-based ethanol, glycerine, essential lemon oil, biodegradable preservative, colorant

It doesn't dry out my stamps, and after reading the ingredient list, it looks like it should also condition the rubber. (Now, I'm no chemist, so don't sue me if you don't like this product!) It smells great and a large bottle will really go far! I keep a hand towel in my craft room, so after I clean my stamps, I use the same bottle and wipe down my table top. It's very reasonably priced too! I ONLY clean with these products now. I give them 5 Stars!!! :)

Have a Great, GREEN Day!!!
