If you read my blog, you know that I love to make handmade cards. I've been making them for as long as I can remember & recently I discovered a new tool that I am crazy about. I think it takes a card from "pretty" to "WOW!" and it couldn't be easier to use.
Do I have your attention now? ;)
Here's an example of the tool in action:
So here's the tool I'm so excited about. It's called the Envelope Punch Board & it's available now in the Studio Calico shop.
I've used other "envelope tools" in the past & this one is far superior in my opinion. You can create an envelope to fit any size card & only takes a minute. You can also make boxes, bows & other fun things with it. It's very versatile. It comes with a scoring tool that fits inside & the board itself is small & really easy to store.
I love using patterned paper to create beautiful, coordinating envelopes. I've even made envelopes out of other things (I just made a set of enveloped out of maps that are really cool!)
This was a sympathy card I made recently using a Lindsay Letters Scripture Card & some vintage paper from Studio Calico & Sassafras. I made a rosette flower out of muslin (tutorial found here) & I think the envelope just brought everything together.
If you have any questions about the new tool, let me know. I think you're going to love it!
This looks quite good. Do you end up with a pointy up bit or do you get a neat v shape on the inside of your envelope?
