Studio Calico Sugar Rush Projects

I'm back to share the projects that I created for the Studio Calico Sugar Rush reveal.

One of my favorite projects was this paper doll set:
A full video tutorial is coming soon!  You'll just need the Sugar Rush card kit, digital files & an empty Project Life box.
Sleeping Beauty & her prince have a wardrobe of clothes that are attached with Velcro dots.

To help the dolls stay upright, I adhered small clothespins to their backs.
Sleeping Beauty even has her own bed, complete with pillow and comforter.  She looks like she's dreaming of her handsome prince.

These are the digital files that you'll need to have on hand:
I love this little girl image & I love that she comes as a stamp as well!

For this card, I stamped the image repeatedly, creating a line of girls holding hands.
By combining these images, it's easy to create a card that conveys unity & friendship.  You could add a sentiment that says, "I'm praying for you" or "thinking of you" - the options are limitless!
I added a little sparkle to their dresses to play off the sentiment.

The stamp set also comes with a little crown, perfect for turning this little girl into a queen.  Anybody else fans of the group Lorde?
I created the rolling hill & sentiment on my computer.  If you'd like to use it yourself, you can download the file here.

There are also new metal dies that coordinate with both the card kit & the card kit add-on:

Kids At Play craft die set:

Balloons & Bows craft die set:

Another really cool digi file you might want to pick up are these cut files by In a Creative Bubble.  They come in several different sizes & can be cut out using your Silhouette.  I used it on this card below:
The gold hearts were made by adhering bits of ribbon from the Sugar Rush card kit behind the die cut.   It's so sparkly and yummy in person!

And, although these Sugar Rush kits have lots of cute, girly bits in them… they're also great for making guy cards.
I used the kite stamp & paper from both the card kit & card kit add-on to create this fun & funky geometric background.

If you've picked up supplies for the upcoming Life Scripted class by Kal Barteski, the Gouache paint works really well to create splattering on cards.  P.S. registration ends on January 31, so make sure to get in while you can!

That's all from me for now.  You'll DEFINITELY want to stay up for reveal tonight, which is at midnight EST.  All of the dies I shared in my last post sold out earlier today at presale, as well as every single kit!  Everything will be restocked tonight, but there are limited quantities.  I hope you can snatch a few goodies for yourself!  :)
