Studio Calico July {Valley High} Reveal

Hello, hello!  Sorry I'm a bit late, but I wanted to share my projects made with the July kits.  I'm SO excited because Studio Calico really increased their quantities this month & many of the kits are still available to order!  (...even the coveted Project Life kits!!!)

I just noticed that you can now buy 4x6 paper pads in the shop!  They would be perfect for Project Life, cardmaking, or even die cuts for layouts!

If you subscribe to the Project Life kits, you'll know that they now come in these awesome magnetic boxes.  So, once you've used up all of your supplies for that month, what do you do with the empty box???

I thought it would be fun to repurpose the boxes, so I created a Handmade Cards kit & a Travel Mementos box:
The font in the Project Life sticker sheet is really cool this month!  I used it over & over & love that I still have plenty of alphas left.
I really love the Travel Girl collection & I was really excited to see several items from the line in the kits this month.
The cork envelope in the Card Kit is adorable.  I also love the gold details in the printed clothespins from the Matthew add-on.
The plastic liner lifts out of the PL box & becomes the perfect size for a set of handmade cards!
This is my Travel Mementos box.  I'm filling it with ephemera & photos from our vacation & then I'm planning on making a mini that will fit inside.  The box can hold the mini & other odds & ends.
Seriously.  How cool is this acrylic airplane from the Matthew kit?!?

The "Let's Do This" card is my favorite from the Project Life kit.  I love that the front of the card is vertical & the back is horizontal... so you can use the design whichever way works best for your project.
The travel washi tape from Winona just rocks.  I also love these big circular metal paperclips from the PL kit.  This red alpha paper is called Faune & is by Kesi Art.  I believe this is a French company & I love when the kits come with goodies from them.  You can't find them in the states & their quality is amazing!  The paper has a really great texture. (There are several awesome things from Kesi Art this month!)  This paper is from the Jennifer kit.
I used several stickers from the Matthew kit to cover up the wording printed on the Project Life boxes.  The airplane enamel brad is also from this kit.
I love the saying on the PL boxes when you open them up.  No need to cover up this one!  I just added a sticker to complete the thought.  :)
Here are some of the cards I created this month.  The stamps in the kits just rock.  I loved this sentiment.  Perfect for a new grad or world traveler.  The x's on the bottom (or stitches) and the sentiment are both from Matthew.
I love large prints on paper.  You can cut around them & create instant focal points for cards.  This cute little traveler is from the Jennifer kit.
I love that the fonts from the sticker sets this month coordinate so well together.  They're both kind of quirky and fun.  (The "29" is from Jennifer & the rest is from the PL kit.)  The fabric brads from Jennifer are super cute too!
So... you see that little heart that dot's the "i"?  That's part of the arrow washi tape from the Jennifer kit!  I just positioned it where I knew my letter would go.
This feather is a stamp from the Corey add-on card kit... and it's a beauty!  I stamped it with gold ink to coordinate with the triangle sequins from the Jennifer kit.  The chevron ribbon is from the same kit.  The "Hopes & Dreams" stamp is from the PL kit.  So, so pretty!
I have to admit, I had to have the Jennifer kit because of the awesome ikat stamp set that was included in it!  I added a mix of stickers (Matthew) & stamps (Card Kit) to create the sentiment.
These rhinestones are also from the Card Kit & fit the centers of the ikat image perfectly!
This triangular Kesi Art paper from Jennifer reminded me of Christmas trees... so I decided to make my first holiday card of the season.  The buttons are from Jennifer as well.
This card was made entirely from the Card Kit.  The floral stamp set is just awesome!  I love that there are so many different elements included, so you can create a million different types of bouquets.

The wood veneer is also really cool.  I just inked it a bit to coordinate with my stamped images.
I love using Project Life cards on my card designs.  Everything on this card is from the Winona PL add-on kit.

I added some hand stitching for a little added texture.  The cork asterisks are such a neat embellishment!
And... last but not least, here is a card I made using some of the Atlantic wholesale collection & a stamp from this month's Inked class kit.  (Find out more about the upcoming classes here.)

I just love this collection.  Sigh....
So, if you're still with me, thank you so much for checking out my projects from this month's kits.  If you make anything with the kits, I'd love to see them!  Feel free to link them up in the comments section.  :)
