Stitch Fix Review #4

I decided to order my 4th "fix" before leaving for vacation last month & I'm just getting around to writing my review.  If you haven't heard of them, Stitch Fix is a personal styling service that delivers right to your door.  Basically, you fill out an in depth Style Profile, select a shipment date, and a stylist sends you a box filled with 5 items that are hand picked for you.

There's a $20 styling fee for each box.  If you decide to keep anything in your box, that styling fee goes toward your purchase.  Shipping & returns are free.  If you keep everything in your box, you get 25% off of everything!

I had a little referral credit remaining & asked for a few pieces for my summer wardrobe.  (If a friend uses your referral link to sign up for a "fix", the company gives you credit to use toward your next purchase!)  So... thank you, thank you, thank you for signing up under me!  :)

Here are the 5 pieces that came in my fix:
#1. Pauline Lace Detail Button Up Tank
I wish I had time to photograph all of my pieces as I tried them on, but I was scrambling to get my returns back in the mail before leaving for our vacation & I was afraid my lack of makeup & rats nest hair could have frightened small children.  ;)

This top didn't do much for me right out of the box, but it did fit perfectly & would have been a nice basic.  I can't remember how expensive it was exactly, but I remember feeling that it was too expensive for what it was.

Verdict:  Cute, but not cute enough for the price.  Returned.

#2. Ivy Solid Tab Sleeve V-Neck Blouse
This color of blue is one of my absolute favorite colors right now.  The top was very flattering, but was just a bit too big.

Verdict:  LOVED this top, but needed a different size.  Returned

#3. Rowson Mesh Detail Striped Shirt
My other favorite color right now is bright yellow.  I wish I had a photo of this top on because it is ADORABLE!  (The top is sheer, so I wear a tank with it.)  The striped fabric is so soft & the top fits perfectly.

Verdict: Loved everything about this top.  Kept!

#4 Benny Shortsleeve Knit Cardigan
This top was another shirt that I didn't think I would like at all at first glance.  But, once on, it had a really cute shape & I liked the color.

Verdict: Liked the style fairly well, but didn't need a sweater in this 90 degree weather.  Returned.

#5 Orson Striped Slub Knit Sweater
Yet again, I wasn't so sure about this top right out of the box.  But, once on, I thought it was pretty cute.    It just goes to show that maybe these stylists are on to something.  ;)  I love trying on clothes that I would normally just pass by without a second glance... and then discovering that they are actually quite flattering.  The fabric was actually extremely light weight despite the word "sweater" in the title.

Verdict: Cute top, but I decided that with a vacation beginning the following day, I would only keep the one piece in this fix that I absolutely loved.  Returned.

  1. So fun to watch you shop. Hee-hee! I hope you get that blue top in a smaller size because it's super cute! Looks like it would be a great transitional piece for Fall and next spring too! :)
