Today's CHF Challenge Chicks challenge (cha cha cha!) on the farm was to use StazOn ink on a project. Well.... I was SO excited because I had the perfect idea... but my stamps didn't arrive in time. I did do a project, but it's a little wimpy. ;) Make sure you check back later this week for my 'real' challenge project! It's going to be fun!
I had several requests for Mother's Day cards from my coworkers and noticed that I really didn't have any good sentiments to go along with them! Yikes! So... I had to be a little creative. I had some lime green Thickers (chipboard letters) that I colored dark brown (stamp directly onto letters with a VersaMark pad and heat emboss with brown embossing powder).
I found the words "For You" in the Baked with Love set but couldn't find a good place to stamp them so they would still be visible. I had a scrap of a Clear Card Sheet and remembered that Mona had a recent post about heat embossing with white StazOn. So... I added some yummy Coffee & Cream embossing powder and heat set. I added the sentiment to the card using a small dimensional foam dot and then covered over it with a decorative pearl.
Make sure to check out the other girls' projects for some really GREAT ways to use StazOn ink. Oh... and BTW - Cornish Heritage Farms just got in some NEW great colors that I've never seen before!
