One of my fellow Prettie Girls - Charmaine - gave birth to a beautiful baby boy recently! We all decided we would like to welcome him with some fun little baby items -- using Crate Paper's Baby Bee Collection from Paper Pretties.
This is a simple frame that I altered and added a chipboard letter to it. (The colors are a little softer irl.)
And these are some blocks that I altered and added rub-on letters to spell out Isaac's name. Emily Giovanni showed everyone how to make these fun little blocks on her blog. The blocks can be found at Hobby Lobby (1-1/2 inch size) -- found in the unfinished wood section in bags of 6 (I think) for around $3. I just used Modge-Podge to adhere the patterned paper, sanded the edges, and applied ink to the edges. Then, I just added the rub-on letters (American Crafts) and used another coat of Modge-Podge to seal everything. What an easy and fun way to make a personalised gift!
I also send Charmaine a set of baby stamps from Rubber Soul. (If you would like to see what the rest of the Prettie Girls sent baby Isaac, click on THIS link.)
