I've decided that I need to keep a notebook beside my bed at night. I've noticed lately that right as I am about to drift off to sleep... I get flashes of images in my head for card designs. Freaky, isn't it? Usually I forget them by the time morning comes, but this idea stuck and I wanted to hurry and try it out!
I've been bitten by the CHF bug lately and am starting to get a small collection of stamps from the Kim Hughes Collection. One of the sets - "Tag, You're It!" - has a tiny smiley face image. I remember thinking at the time, "I wonder if I'll ever use that stamp?"
About a week ago, my latest order came in and I fell in love with the little cupcake image from the "Hugs & Kisses" set.
So... what do you think? Doesn't it look like this little smiley face was meant to be part of this cute little dessert?!? Simple, I know --- but I think it gives it a lot of personality.

OK, how come instant card designs don't flash into MY head when I'm going to bed??? You need to keep a notebook handy :)

This is such an adorable card. I just lovew the cupckae.. Good idea to keep a notebook by your bed for those little burst of inspiration. I keeep a notebook by my bed because I usually come up with journaling for pages I am working on. I wish that card images would come into my mind. I keep hittig road blacks.
