Challenges are good for us, aren't they? I've noticed how much I've grown by participating in challenges on SCS and some of my favorite bloggers' sites. The girls at Paper Pretties have been challenging each other with new ideas each week for awhile now, but we decided it would be fun to share what we've been up to with everyone!
Prettie Girl Alli Miles hosted a color challenge for us a couple of weeks ago. (With a group of Americans & Canadians, it takes longer for our projects to mail out) She asked us to make a card using Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Vanilla and Soft Sky.
This is the card I sent to Alli using the new breast cancer "Think Pink" stamp from MFT. I wanted to show how versatile this stamp set could be. I inked the entire image and then used a damp Q-tip to "erase" the awareness ribbons from the girls' outfits. Since Alli is one of the newest DT members in our group, I wanted to show her how excited we were to have her join us... and to tell her that we were "In This Together!" I stamped a purse from another MFT set (Say Charge).... just to jazz it up a little bit.
Take a peek a the other DT's blogs (Julie Masse, Kristine, Charmaine, Alli, Joanne, Christie, & Jillian) and see what everyone made using those fabulous colors!!! Last weeks challenge was to use the Bouncing Brayer technique, and we'll be showing off those creations next Wednesday! And finally, this week's challenge is from Joanne - Scare Yourself! *gulp* Yep, take out those stamping/craft supplies that you've been avoiding and make something!
Want to participate with us? Send me a link on this post and have fun!
