Double Take!

I just love sketches! (Have I ever mentioned that before?) ;) This week's SCS sketch challenge was really easy, but has a great design! So... I decided to break out my new stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms and try them out!

I love the fonts in the Cute Curls sentiments! I think that's what sold me on this set! I used one of the smaller graphic designs from the set and stamped it repeatedly onto my black CS to create a 'border'. I stamped the little bird image from the Pretty Birds set and didn't think it needed any color added to it. I like it's clean lines stamped in black against the River Rock CS.

This little turkey is Cornish Heritage Farms' Stamp of the Month for October -- and comes with this cute little sentiment! You can get them wood mounted, but I like unmounted these days, so I went with that. I'm running out of storage space in my craft room... and the unmounted version is cheaper. Double bonus! All of my new stamps came with EZ mount foam already attached. Perfect for using with an acrylic block! *** Oh, and btw, I don't work for CHF, so I promise I'm not trying to 'sell' anything to you! When I find a product/company that I like... I just like to spread the news. :) ***

I stamped this little turkey onto Shimmery White CS and colored him in with Copics. The paper is also shimmery and comes from KI Memories (Holiday Collection). The ribbon and brads are from Target's Dollar Spot! Gotta love that!

I cut a small strip of patterned paper and adhered it to the right edge of my card for a little detail.
