Wishing You Well

This is a card that I'm bringing to my grandpa who's in the hospital. For those of you who pray, please say a prayer for him today! He recently had emergency surgery and is pretty sick right now. Also, pray for my grandma - to give her strength and encouragement.

My grandparents have to be the best people on earth. Now, I know a lot of people would say that about their family, but I really think mine are pretty superior! :) My grandpa has always been the quiet type. He's got a great sense of humor though, so if you listen carefully, he's hilarious! My grandpa taught us to value an education. He was a school teacher and also farmed most of his life. He has to be one of the hardest working people on earth! My grandma is seriously the best cook in the midwest. If you're ever in Indiana, you've got to come and try her home-made pie!

But most of all, my grandparents taught us about Christ. They are not the type of people who 'preach' at you, and only give advice when it's asked for. They witness by example -- which I think is the best witness! And, because of them, all 6 of their children, multiple grandchildren, and even several great-grandchildren have a relationship with Jesus. How awesome is that!?!

Ok... so now let me get to this card! I just received my order from SU today with some new Mini Catalog preview goodies! One of the things I LOVE about the stamps from this catalog is that they are already PRE-CUT! Please, SU, make all of your stamps like this in the next catalog!

This card was made following the same sketch as the previous post. I wanted to give it another try! I used the new set 'True Friend' and some Apple Cider DS paper. I am in lust of this paper! It is SO pretty! Plus, fall is my favorite season... and these colors just make me smile! The stamp set is gorgeous!!! I'm just so happy with my purchases! :)

I used some Copper Stickles to add sparkle to the floral image. The layers are adhered with dimensionals. I think it looks very exotic! I stamped a small image from Papertrey's Borders and Corners set in each of the scalloped areas on the chocolate circle.

The sentiment is also by Papertrey Ink and the 'swirl' is by Autumn Leaves.

  5. Fantabulous! I love this set and your card is really COOL. I didn't purchase the Borders & Corners set from Papertrey but maybe I should have as I love how you put those little stamps on the scalloped circle with it. Ida
