It's a Slumber Party!!!

I'm so excited! Tonight will be my first time to 'virtually stamp' with some of my new friends at Paper Pretties! Stampin' In Your Jammies is a monthly get-together for all of the PP subscribers. It runs tonight from 9-12 EST. Each hour, a new challenge is posted and we get 60 minutes to complete it. Then, everyone uploads and shares what they've created with the group. Of course, there is a lot of chatting going on and the best part..... AWESOME PRIZES are given away. I think it's going to be a blast! SIYJ is just one of the perks of being a subscriber to the Paper Pretties Card Kits. I hope to see you there tonight!

I also wanted to say 'thank you!' to all of you who commented on my Rubber Soul & Wordsworth blog candy post. It was so fun to hear what everyone's favorite stamps were. A lot of you commented that the Funky Monkey stamp was one of your top picks, so I decided to make a simple card using that image.

I just love this little guy! He reminds me of those old sock monkeys we had growing up. I thought this sentiment from Papertrey Ink fit him pretty well. The font is just so cute and simple! The striped paper I used was from K & Co's Kazoo Kids line. I had an 'aha!' moment when I noticed how my Cuttlebug embossing folder mimicked the shape of my embellishment (Hodgepodge Hardware, SU). I used my sewing machine and added some stitching... and then just gave it some antiquing by rubbing on some Sahara Sand ink. So easy! :)
