I noticed that the majority of my stamps and accessories are pretty feminine, so I started collecting a few supplies to make some cards for my guys. This is the card I made following today's SCS Sketch Challenge.
The handyman stamp is from Stamping Bella (Fixafella). I love all of the Bella and Fella images, and this one was perfect for my hubby's father's day card! Soup (that's what everyone calls him) can fix or build pretty much anything. I stamped this fella on watercolor paper and colored him in with Prismacolor Pencils and mineral spirits. I paperpieced his outfit, tool belt, and... if you look really closely -- even the tiny tools that he's wearing. I added a little bit of color here and there with my SU markers. This part took me a little while! :) The sentiment was made using my Karen Foster Snap Stamps.
The printed paper is also by Karen Foster (Father Collage). I used Buckaroo Blue, Certainly Celery, and Basic Black CS. I found these brads awhile ago on Ebay and haven't been able to use them yet. I think they're PERFECT! :)
Thanks for checking out my new blog! Please leave me a comment so I know you're out there!
